Privacy Policy

Thakroon ("the app", "we", "our") is a free Islamic dhikr counting application. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles.

1. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no backend servers, no user accounts, and no analytics.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device only, using the operating system's secure storage:

• Your dhikr counters (number of times you have recited each dhikr).
• Your app settings (language, dark mode, vibration preference, reset method).

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. Microphone and Speech Recognition

The app offers an optional voice-counting feature. When you enable it:

• The app requests microphone access to listen for the dhikr you recite.
• Audio is processed by the operating system's built-in speech recognition service (Apple Speech framework on iOS, Google Speech Services on Android).
• We do not record, store, or transmit audio ourselves.
• Speech recognition may be processed on-device or by the operating system provider, subject to their privacy policies (Apple Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy).
• You can disable voice counting at any time, and the app will continue to work with manual counting.

4. Permissions

• Microphone: Used only for the optional voice-counting feature. Access is requested only when you activate it.
• Speech Recognition: Used only for the optional voice-counting feature.

5. Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

6. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
